- Using one of the following methods, open the Send Consent window.
- In the eFolder Documents tab, Click the eConsent button to open the Send Consent window.
- In the Alerts & Messages section of the loan, Click the eConsent Not Yet Received Alert. In the Alert details, Click the Request eConsent button to open
the Send Consent window.
- Select the Sender type. The Name and Email fields are populated based on your selection. You can choose from the following:
- Current User
- File Starter
- Loan Officer
If no name or email is listed in the File Contacts tool for the Encompass user associated with the option selected, the fields are blank and editable. Data entered in a blank field is then saved back to the File Contacts tool.
- Select or clear the check boxes to send the emails to the Borrower and/or Co-Borrower.
- In the Authorization Code fields, enter the borrower's last 4 digits of their social security # as the authorization code.
- New Configuration 01/07/2020:
- The authorization codes for all borrowers will populate at the top of the eConsent Request email template.
- This is for reference only. Manually type the authorization code based on the information provided. Do NOT Copy & Paste!
- The lines containing the authorization codes MUST BE DELETED prior to sending the eConsent request.
- Select the Notify me when borrower receives the package check box to receive an email notification when the borrower receives the request.
- Click the Notify Additional Users button to add users to the list of user who will receive email notification when the request is sent and when notifications or alerts related to the request are generated for
the sender.
- Click Send.
A standard email containing a link to the Consumer Connect Borrower Portal is sent. The email recipients create their own login information if they have not done so already, log in to the site, and then view the documents.
After the request is sent, the authorization code fields become read-only on the Send Consent window and on any subsequent Send windows where the fields display (for example, the Send Request, Send eDisclosure, Send files, and
Send Notification Email windows). A recipient enters the authorization code only once when
accessing the loan on the Consumer Connect site for the first time. The recipient does not need to enter the code again after accessing the loan portal for the first time.
The authorization codes are not automatically sent to borrowers. The Encompass user must contact borrowers to provide them with the codes.
