Everything Consumer Connect (and some WebCenter)

Why the change to Consumer Connect?

  • Consumer Connect is the new Online Application/Loan Portal that is replacing the "old" Encompass Loan Application sites, called WebCenter.

  • The main driver for the switch to the new portal is in anticipation of the URLA 2020 mandate. Consumer Connect has templates for the URLA 2020 application but WebCenter will not be updated to support URLA. WebCenter will be sunset in April of 2020 (no access to loan accounts after this date).

  • Additionally, the templates provided within the Consumer Connect Template ensure compliace with ADA requirements for website accesssibility.

Key Functionality Changes

Feature CONSUMER CONNECT WEBCENTER
Online Application Import into Encompass
  • When a borrower submits an application, the application is automatically imported into Encompass.
  • Loans Import into different folders based on the Loan Officer's Region:
    • Southern IL: Pipeline Folder
    • St. Louis Metro: Prospect Folder
  • Manually import the loan via the Loan Mailbox in the Loan Officer's pipeline view.
  • Only admins could import applications, other than the Loan Officer
Borrower Loan Portal [Accounts]
  • Borrowers must create an account in order to start an online application. This account will be used for the duration of the loan and can be used for future loans.
  • Borrowers are prompted to create their Loan Center account after the first request has been sent to the borrower from Encompass (either eConsent or Disclosures)
Borrower Loan Portal [Log In Info]
  • Borrowers must create a unique Username and it cannot be an email address
    • Note: This eliminates issues with borrowers using the same email address because they can each create an individual account, tied to one email
  • Borrowers are prompted to create their Loan Center account after the first request has been sent to the borrower from Encompass (either eConsent or Disclosures)
